For every person who draws strength and direction from the Bible, there are many more who struggle with it. Some call it a long book with fine print and obscure meaning. Some call it a mystery, a chore to read, or an undecipherable puzzle. This course is an introduction to the process and practice of interpreting and responding to the Bible, highlighting the most fruitful methods for studying biblical narrative, poetry, and discourse.
This course will consider the biblical principles and practices of living Christ’s new life in real life. The pace will be a little slower than some of our classes, to allow for more reflection, discussion and even a little sabbath rest. If you lead a small group, this class could prepare you to lead your group in the topic.
